INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Conference for Women (ICFW) will feature Joy Bauer, MS, RDN, one of the nation’s leading health authorities and bestselling author, as a breakout session speaker. She is the nutrition and healthy lifestyle expert for NBC’s TODAY Show and host of NBC’s Health + Happiness. Joy is also a monthly columnist for Woman’s Day magazine, official nutritionist for the New York City Ballet and the creator of JoyBauer.com.

A #1 New York Times bestselling author, Joy has 13 books to her credit. Her latest book, Joy’s Simple Food Remedies, explores the healing power of food and features natural, holistic remedies for the most common every day ailments, including bloating, headaches, anxiety and stress, low energy, brain fog and high cholesterol. Her newest and upcoming children’s book, Yummy Yoga, hits stands on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019. The book communicates a true passion of Joy’s – encouraging young kids to try healthy new foods and energizing exercise in a playful and engaging format.
During her career, Joy has received numerous awards for her work, including the National Media Excellence Award from two highly esteemed organizations, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Society of Nutrition Science.
Before shifting to a career in television, Joy was the Director of Nutrition and Fitness for the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, as well as the clinical dietitian for their neurosurgical team. She also taught Anatomy & Physiology and Sports Nutrition at NYU’s School of Continuing Education. Simultaneously, she worked to build what would soon become the largest private nutrition center in the country.
Bauer will be joined by keynote speakers Rachael Ray, entrepreneur, television personality and author; Miki and Radha Agrawal, twin sister entrepreneurs and authors, in addition to Sheri Salata, longtime executive producer of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
