Melissa St. John is the CEO of Relocation Strategies, a commercial real estate services management firm focused on enhancing a company’s culture and productivity through proven processes. Relocation Strategies specializes in commercial relocations, renovations, and reconfigurations that are tailored to a specific outcome having a positive impact on workforce productivity. Partnering with top professionals in their respective fields, Melissa has developed Relocation Strategies into The Greater Indianapolis area’s one-stop solution for all workplace transition needs.
Melissa is a high-energy motivator, with a gift for recruiting the right people to support her ambitions. Within her industry, Melissa was one of four founding members of the Interior Design Coalition for Indiana (IDCI). As a founder, she lobbied the State of Indiana diligently for nine years to endorse a Registered Interior Designer (RID) status. Melissa became a Registered Interior Designer with the State of Indiana in 2010.
In 2014 she was a key fundraiser for the Girl Scouts Capital Campaign. In addition to many different charities, in 2017 Melissa worked with the Make-A-Wish-Foundation to bring a young person’s dream into reality.
Melissa is a graduate of the Stanley K. Lacey Leadership Program of 2011. In 2010 Melissa received Indy’s Best and Brightest award by Junior Achievement. In 2012, she was named Runner-Up for the Starkey Entrepreneurial Woman Business Owner for inspiration and success. More recently Melissa was named a Finalist for this year’s Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Award.
Her influence extends beyond her industry and into the community, where she serves on and enthusiastically champions boards of various causes. Since 2015 Melissa served as a board member of the Indiana Construction Round Table. She is a past Board member of the Indianapolis Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. As the chair for the chapter’s large annual event she led her team to a great success making the event one of the largest of its kind in the nation that year, and brought her fundraising expertise to bare by bringing many corporate partners to the NAWBO Indy table throughout her tenure. In 2016 Melissa was named to the Board of Directors of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Economic Development Committee.
