INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Conference for Women, the largest gathering of women leaders and entrepreneurs in the Midwest, has teamed up with The Startup Ladies, a membership organization that seeks to support women entrepreneurs, to host the third annual Indiana Conference for Women Pitch Competition.
The competition, organized and hosted by The Startup Ladies, will take place on November 7, 2017, at the Indiana Convention Center located in Indianapolis, IN. Women entrepreneurs seeking to expand their business can apply, and three finalists will be selected to pitch at the conference. Finalists will receive free individual registration to the conference, and will have access to three Startup Study Halls, organized by The Startup Ladies. Startup Study Halls will serve as pitch practice to hone contestants’ skills in preparation of presenting to a panel of esteemed business professionals.
The competition will be judged by Jackie DiMonte, of Hyde Park Ventures; Mike Langellier, CEO of Techpoint; Oscar Moralez, Founder and Managing Director of VisionTech Partners; and Barb Cutillo, Managing Partner of NextLevel. All four feedback panelists are uniquely acquainted with the process of successful entrepreneurship, and will impart invaluable advice to contestants.
“Our business was greatly impacted by the pitch competition,” said Danielle Wolter Nolan, Co-Founder of outdoor adventure Company DNK Presents and past presenter at the Indiana Conference for Women Pitch Competition. “I have stayed closely connected with one of my panelists and she still mentors me today.” She added, “The best part of pitching is getting to share your passion, your love, your BIG idea with not only the audience but the world!”
